Wallace Berman - Sans Titre, 1959

!!!

went to margot on saturday.  it was very small and very good.  never been to lincoln hall before, it’s pretty.  we talked to erik before and after for a very long time.  which is to say, dawn talked a lot and i mostly just said ‘yes, i am that dom” and listened.  didn’t know he was 35, he looks about 25.  talked about how he had a law degree and how you should have a lawyer if you’re going to be in a band and how they spend and don’t spend their money and what they do when they aren’t touring.  he gave us shirts for free with my drawing on them.  chris was very soft spoken and very tall, he studied in london for a bit too and also did animation and showed us a commercial he did.  they played payphone (!) but everyone mostly only sang to the acoustic-y ones.  wish i’d taken a picture of the the shadows on the curtain behind them, it was like a silhouette puppet show.

and afterwards we went into a stairwell and said a passing/very short  hello & thanks to richard.  a bit awkward.  but no more than usual i suppose.

& you all should go buy their album because damn they should be making a lot more money/be much more known.  they put on a good show.
