‘Its true - we play as special guests of Metallica at Stade De France on May 12th! Of course I am biting my fists with excitement. This is one of those childhood dreams come true. I have vivid memories of rocking out to Metallica in the back of a conversion van, with my headphones on, my dad at the wheel, barrelling down the American highway, over a tattered road map, stale cigarette smoke, gasoline, on a tail light blur of the automatic fantasy… forcing the AA batteries in my walkman to the bitter crushing limit. Now… 22 years later, we’re sharing the stage with them, in a place that holds more people than the town I grew up in. To say I’m ‘excited’ hardly enunciates the thrill. - Alison’
